Finally, go deep with AI.
The accelerated AI program for mission-led professionals already using AI and ready to stop scratching the surface.
From thinking in tasks and tools to thinking in systems. We'll show you how to use AI in ways you never thought possible. Your questions, your gaps, your "how do I actually do this well" all answered. A hands on experience taught by a team who've been in your shoes.
By the end, you'll have built your own AI system (workflows, agents, context, tools) and have a framework to use to reimagine work.
You see the potential. You're ready to go further.
You're using AI but you know there's more.
You've got prompts that work well enough. But every time you scroll through Linkedin posts or join a conference session on AI you realize there is a whole lot more. You're quietly worried you're falling behind (and honestly you probably are), but you're constantly busy and haven't prioritized learning. You need a deadline, a cohort to keep you accountable, and a team who can help you rapidly transform.
You're figuring this out alone. And you know you shouldn't be.
You're the one-person fundraising team. The head of a small department. The only person in your org taking AI seriously. You're teaching yourself AI on top of everything else on your plate, and you want to do it properly. You need a room of peers doing the same work, a framework you can trust, and the confidence that what you're building is best practice for nonprofits and people like you.
You're great at your job. You want AI to match that depth.
You've spent 10, 20, 25 years getting good at your craft. You know fundraising, or campaigning, or leadership at a level no AI tool is going to replace. But you also know AI is the one place you haven't built that same excellence yet. You want to learn the difference between great and mediocre and push the boundaries of what's possible. You're ready to be challenged and want a team to support you who are leaders in the field.
The skills, the system, the new way of working.
By the end of the AI Immersion, you'll know:
How to think about AI — the mindset that separates the best AI users from the rest
What's actually possible — across the full landscape of AI, beyond ChatGPT and the obvious tools
How to design AI for excellence — context, structure, standards, the way the best builders set things up
How to build an AI system — your own assistants, agents, workflows and connections, working together
How to choose the right tools — for your work, your team, your mission, your context
How to use AI strategically — across your whole practice, not task by task
How to keep going — the frameworks, the community, and the habits that keep you ahead as AI evolves
Most AI courses promise you productivity. We promise you something bigger.
You won't just do your work faster, you'll be doing work you couldn't do before. The strategy you never had time to nail. The projects sitting in the "too hard" basket. The sharper thinking, the bolder ideas, the hours back in your week. You'll walk away with your own AI system and the ability to think, create and lead with AI in ways that change what's possible in your work.
Before and after the AI Immersion.
What's possible when your approach to AI fundamentally shifts.
Where people get stuck
Where you can get to
Tangible systems. Real workflows.
A cohort of peers.
Your Personal AI System
Custom assistants, prompt library, agent team, and workflows designed around your specific role, sector, and way of thinking. Something you'll use every day and can work for you, your team and your org.
AI-First Framework
Mindset, methods, skills, tools — in that order. The tools will change every six months. The framework doesn't expire. You leave knowing how to evaluate whatever comes next.
A Cohort of Sector Peers
Program Directors, Comms Leads, Fundraising Directors, CEOs, M&E Specialists, Impact Officers. A private cohort community for peer exchange, accountability, and real feedback on what you're building.
12 Months of Learning
A year of access to THE PLAIground — a learning platform and community so you keep evolving as AI does. Unlimited AI Spark sessions, resources, micro-learning, and a place to share and build with peers across the sector.
Welcome to the Lab.
Reimagining work with AI.
Play & Reimagine
A whole new way of thinking about AI. And your first "did I just do that?" moment.
We get hands on straight away, stretching you to build your first 'mini' AI agent in the very first session. You'll see what AI can actually do when it's designed well and feel the shift immediately: from thinking in tasks and tools, to thinking in systems and strategy.
Design
The most important step before you even touch the tools.
You'll focus on specific area of your work — a workflow, a task, a project that matters to you. We go deep on what excellence looks like for it, and what AI needs to deliver it. You'll learn what sets apart the best AI users from the rest and how to map what AI needs to know to do your work brilliantly — not generically.
Your AI Canvas
No lab this week. Time for you to put in the work.
This is the week it becomes yours. You take what you designed in Week 2 and start building out everything you need using PLAI's AI Canvas including mapping workflows, gathering knowledge/data and pulling together the context AI needs to work well. You'll bring this into the next week so that you're ready to build.
Build the System
This is where it all starts coming together.
You'll build out your AI system for your chosen challenge, workflow or use case. You'll learn the architecture, the connections and the advanced features most people don't know exist. You'll troubleshoot with the cohort. You'll refine what you built in Week 3.
Apply & Scale
This is just the beginning.
The final lab is about what happens next. How to actually use your system every day. How to keep building as your work evolves. How to apply what you've learned to new challenges, new tools, new teams. You'll share what you've built, celebrate what this cohort has done together and create your action plan for integration.
Twelve months of The PLAIground.
The thing most AI programs don't give you: ongoing support. A year of unlimited live AI Spark sessions. Always-updated resources. Micro-learning. A community of mission-led practitioners figuring this out alongside you. The place you keep building and learning long after the Immersion ends.
Every AI Immersion cohort graduates into The PLAIground.

Nonprofit roots. AI specialists.

Led by Kaz McGrath, Stephen Silveira, and the PLAI team.
We started PLAI because we kept watching brilliant people in brilliant organizations get handed AI tools by trainers who'd never done the kind of work those people do every day.
Our team has run the campaigns, written the grants, sat in the board meetings. When we teach AI, every example comes from that world — because when you're applying AI to a safeguarding process or a funding application, the person in the room needs to understand what those things are.
We've trained 15,000+ nonprofit professionals. Our sessions are rated 4.9 out of 5. And we're advisors to UNDP and the World Economic Forum.
We're called PLAI — pronounced "play" — for a reason. We teach through games, build labs, hands-on work, and juicy conversations.
Everything you need to rapidly accelerate AI fluency.
You'll see immediate results in your work, walk away with frameworks to apply to your team and org, and have a year long program of follow up sessions and community support.
How people describe learning with PLAI.
The program was unlike anything I had previously experienced. It significantly expanded opportunities for our members and enhanced the overall impact of our organisation's work.
exactly the reset I needed… practical, empowering and grounded in how work actually happens. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone wanting to build confidence and capability to use AI in a thoughtful, intentional way.
A rare mix of bold challenge and deep care. I left not just with leadership tools, but with a new way of seeing myself and my role.
They taught me how to fish. And given me a rod, bait, and a map to the best fishing holes.
From day one I realised this was different. It was going to challenge me, welcome me, and support me. The right language, frameworks, tools and mindset for a different way of being and doing.
A wonderful restructuring experience for my work and personal life. I think about the key lessons almost every day. I've been becoming a better, more effective person and professional. This reminded me: we grow better when we work together in community.
